@briccelebratebk is winding down its 2023 Summer season and @alvvaysband played their second of two fundraising gigs at The Lena Horne Bandshell in Prospect Park. On a night that felt more like the tail end of September rather than the dog days of August with cool Temps and almost no humidity, Molly Rankin and the rest of the band treated the faithful to a Masterclass in pure indie pop dance music. With a sold out crowd inside the bandshell and a jammed crowd surrounding the outside lawns around the venue, there were so many people dancing, swaying, singing and generally have a great time that I wouldn’t be surprised if Park Slope showed up on the geological survey with a wiggle on the Richter Scale.
