Nude Beach Live at T.V. Eye (2024-10-25)

Back in the early 20-teens, Nude Beach was all the rage. After playing together in a multitude of bands during their high school years on Long Island, Chuck, Ryan and Jimmy moved to Brooklyn and became firmly entrenched in the DIY music scene playing 100s of shows throughout the NYC metro area in lofts, warehouses, dive bars and basements. They released their self titled LP in 2010 and followed that up with Nude Beach II in 2012. II received quite a bit of buzz and it appeared the boys might be on the cusp of taking off. 2014 saw the release of the second best album of all time…named 77, that is.
After touring to support 77, Nude Beach decided to call it quits. With each of the band members having other things going on in their lives, keeping the band going just wasn’t viable any longer.
Fast forward 10 years to Ridgwood’s T.V/ Eye where the 3 high school friends along with 4th partner in crime, Matt Winn (who collaborated on 77) took the stage for a glorious night of nostalgia fueled Petty/Springsteen/Dylan inspired power pop. In other words over an hour and change of Nude Beach’s greatest hits, and let me tell you it was awesome. It remains doubtful that anything will come of this triumphant return to the stage but nonetheless, Chuck, Ryan and Jimmy managed to turn the clocks back 10 years on Saturday night and no one in attendence was disappointed.
