02. Ducks LTD – Harm’s Way

I’m pretty confident that when all is said and done with 2024, Harm’s Way will be one of my most listened to albums of the year. Some of that had to do with Duck’s LTD. fitting smack dab in the middle of whatever algorithm my listening habits have directed Spotify to point me in. It seemed like whatever I listened to throughout the year, when it was over and spotify offered up “suggested tunes” to follow, something from Harm’s Way was included. That’s not to say that there wasn’t more to it than just the Spotify algorithm which leads me to placing this album where I have. Harm’s Way was my jump up and down, feel good album of the year. The jangly upbeat rhythms which singer and rhythm guitarist Tom McGreevy and lead guitarist Evan Lewis throw out at us throughout Harm’s Way remind me of warm sunny summer days and while I write this as winter has wrapped its ugly arms around us, the warm and fuzzy feelings I get from Harm’s Way only magnifies those feelings.
