I’m a sucker for cosmic country going back to my days of following The New Riders of The Purple Sage and any kind of year end run down that didn’t include such a cosmicana kind of record just wouldn’t be complete.  This year’s winner, by far, was from Tobacco City”s offering, Horses.  Make no mistake about it, Chicago’s Tobacco City offers up a perfect psych country blend of lilting pedal steel, chicken picking guitar licks and back and forth harmonies that would make Gram and Emmylou proud. So pony up partner and give this ole stallion a ride.
