There’s A Light That I Will Never Have – The Interpretation Cultures

I’m not sure what it is about Indonesia, but they sure do love their Jangle Pop. The debut LP of original material from The Information Cultures is case in point. The Makassar, Indonesian band, which started out as a vehicle to perform jangly cover versions of local pop songs shows on There’s A Light That I Will Never Have that they are more than capable of creating and performing their own efervecent and bubbly tunes.

Lead track, an instrumental dives right in and creates a whirling, layered guitar driven dance tune right out of The Smiths staple. What follows thereafter is a collection of jangle pop filled with energy and an infusion of poppy tunes which will most certainly get those toes tapping.
